Gymtowne SSF Closed until the County Health Dept. Says Gyms Can Open

The San Mateo County Health Department and the State of California has closed all non-essential businesses due to the COVID-19 Crisis.  Please see the Gymtowne SSF Info below.

Kid's Night Out Cancelled Until Further Notice

5-11 Year Olds, have a fun filled evening of activities such as Trampoline, Zip Line, Foam Pit, Fun Games, Dancing in the Dark with Glow Sticks and more from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM at Gymtowne, South San Francisco!

Gym Mini (Preschool-Aged) Programs

The Gym Mini Program is a wonderful educational experience for all children ages 1 to 5 whether or not gymnastics is in their future as a sport!  These programs develop not only skills in movement but help develop the ability to learn.

Gym Mini Gym Area

The Gym Mini Program has been developed to promote basic motor skills as they apply to all physical activity.  In this program, we do not strive to train for the Olympics, but instead we emphasize physical and social development using our specialized motor development equipment as well as our adapted gymnastics equipment with our positive, high-energy staff!

Main Gym Area

Gymtowne Gymnastics offers the complete Junior Olympic Program of USA Gymnastics (USAG). We offer classes for Levels One, Two, Three, and Four.  Competitive teams are available for USA Gymnastics Levels Three and up as well as Xcel.

Summer Camps

Gymtowne Gymnastics offers 2 weeks of  Camps that you can customize to your schedule!

Crawlers & Rug Bugs ("Parent and Me")

Gymtowne Gymnastics offers classes beginning when your child begins walking! Also, We have a brand new Crawlers Class for 4 months to not yet walking at no charge!!

Gym Mini Program

  • Preschoolers aged 1-5

  • Low student/instructor ratio

  • Develops physical, social and early learning skills

  • Positive, fun and supportive environment

  • Lots of exciting equipment, activities and challenges

School-Aged Gymnastics

Instructional gymnastics classes are offered for girls and boys 6 years old and up in four levels (Levels 1-4) which each have 3 sub levels (each with a color).  This program also prepares the student for the Xcel program as well as the USA Gymnastics Level 3-10 program.

Competitive Gymnastics

Gymtowne Gymnastics offers girls competitive gymnastics in USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic Levels 3-10 as well as USA Gymnastics Xcel Bronze through Diamond.

What's happening at Gymtowne this month?

  • New Virtual Classes with Instructor Interaction!
    • Free Trial Period for April 2020
    • Virtual Classes will be offered officially beginning May 4 with the May Tuition billing period at 25% off our in the gym rates.  If you are interested you need to signup Online or contact us by phone (650) 589-3733 or email (infossf@gymtowne.com)
  • Gymtowne Gymnastics SSF prepares for reopening 
    • We have Cleaned and Waxed the reception area, the spectator area, and the restrooms
    • The carpets have all been steam cleaned
    • The windows have even been thoroughly cleaned.
    • The gym will be commercially disinfected during the week before we open.
    • We are restructuring our classes to allow for social distancing of at least 6 feet between each student at all times
    • We will be requiring that all school aged and competitive students have a backpack or strong bag to hold the following items at all times while in class
      • Personal Sanitizer (we cannot get enough for everyone going forward - we need your help to bring your own)
      • Personal Mask for going to the restroom or other reason for leaving the class
      • We plan to  provide masks for all clientele
      • Personal Chalk Gallon Ziploc Freezer Bag (we will supply chalk for the bag)
    • New Entrances! Please Note!
      • Gym Mini Students (preschool) should now enter through the glass double doors in the back of the Gym Mini Area
        • The new Gym Mini Parent Observation Area will be by the glass windows next to the new entrance
        • We ask that you do not have more than one family member per student in the waiting area
      • All Team Members now enter through the single class door by the Ninja structure
        • The parent should enter through the front entrance
        • We ask that you do not have more than one family member per student in the waiting area
      • School Age and Ninja students will continue to enter through the front entrance
        • We ask that you do not have more than one family member per student in the waiting area
    • We have moved our break scheduled for the week of Memorial Day to March 16-21,2020.
    • All students have been prorated for weeks missed in March We will hold everyone's spot in classes until we are allowed to reopen and no tuition will be charged for the missed classes. 
    • We did not bill for April 2020 since we were not open in April 2020.  We will send out an email when we better know when we can open. Each student can decide when they would like to come back at that time. 
    • The Health Department  ban is still currently until May 4, 2020 but that will probably change.  We absolutely want to insure the health and safety to all of those in our community. 
    • We will be sending out email updates as more information comes out.  Thank you for your patience.
